Kyle Rohner was born on January 3rd 1991 and started his racing career in 2004 at the age of thirteen. His first race car was a birthday gift from his mother and father. In his first season of competitive Slingshot racing, Kyle placed 3rd in overall points at Snydersville Raceway and was named Rookie of the year. To cap off his rookie season, Kyle raced at The Young Loins feature in Atlantic City, NJ.
2005 was a year of great accomplishment for Kyle, including placing 3rd at the Nostalgia Summer National at the Reading, PA Fairgrounds. This was the first racing event in Reading in 26 years and was sponsor by Reading fairgrounds Racing Historical Society. Kyle traveled to Alabama to race at the Wilson Motor Speedway where he placed 6Th. He end his second season with 18 first place finishes, he was named Track Champion at Accord Speedway and Snydersville Raceway, and received the Slingshot by Tobias Rising Star Award.
2006 produced 7 first place finishes, 6th place in overall points in The National Slingshot Tour and 6th place in points in The Southern Tour. Kyle was named 2006 Hamlin Speedway National 50 Champion.
2007 produced a 1st place finish in a National Slingshot Tour race, and 3rd place in overall points for The Southern Tour. Hamlin s, National 50 Champion, and earned his 40th career win racing Slingshots by Tobias.
2008 Kyle moved up to the Heart Chevrolet Spec Sportsman Division at Accord Speedway while continuing to race in the Tobias Slingshot Tour. He received “Best Appearing Spec Sportsman Award” for Car Design, and also came in 3rd place in overall points at Hamlin Speedway.
2009 Kyle continued his quest in the Heart Chevrolet Spec Sportsman Division at Accord Speedway where he earned 4th place in overall points. Kyle also expanded his racing experiences by entering the Stage 1 Modified Division at Borgers Speedway where he earned 2nd in overall points in that division.
Kyle Rohner is a graduate of East Stroudsburg North High School in Dingmans Ferry PA and Monroe County Vo-Tech in Bartonsville, PA where he is active in his community and has been a volunteer firefighter with Bushkill Fire Company since the age of fourteen. He is currently employed by Bustin Industrial Products in East Stroudsburg PA.
